Curriculum Review & Renew Workshop
Feedback received through the CAPHIA needs assessment conducted late 2025 highlighted that many public health educators would benefit from practical guidance on reviewing and renewing curriculum. In response, this online workshop aims to provide guiding principles for prioritising what to review and renew within available time and resources, aligning curriculum with public health frameworks and institutional requirements, and identifying key resources to support the review and renewal process.
This professional development offering provides a foundation for a pre-forum workshop at the 2026 CAPHIA Teaching and Learning Forum, which will focus on implementation of the new CAPHIA Public Health Graduate Competency Framework For Aotearoa New Zealand, Australia, Fiji and Papua New Guinea. Participants of this Curriculum Review & Renew workshop will be able to draw on their learning in considering how they might implement the new competency framework within the curriculum.
Workshop Outline
This 2-hour workshop will be delivered in an online format, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. It is a free offering for educators within CAPHIA member institutions.
The workshop is designed for educators reviewing existing curriculum that needs to be updated or refreshed for future delivery.

Alignment to CAPHIA Competency Framework for Public Health Graduates
