Fire and Threatened Species - Revisited 5 Years On
Event description
Join Upper Ovens Valley Landcare and the Ovens Landcare Network to hear about the hard work happening in our area to conserve our threatened species.
After the 2019/2020 bushfires the Upper Ovens Valley Landcare Group hosted a forum to discuss the impacts fire had on our local threatened species and explore the work being undertaken to help their recovery. Five years on from the fires we are revisiting those projects and will learn about new work being done by many different organisations to save and protect our beloved flora and fauna into the future.
At this forum we will hear from experts and scientists from state and federal organisations, universities, and conservation management organisations. Join us at the Mount Buffalo Chalet for this informative event. Tickets are strictly limited.
Any enquiries to Penny Raleigh at penny@ovenslandcarenetwork.org.au or on 0427613970.
Unfortunately as the Chalet is still undergoing renovations, accessibility at the site is very limited. If you have any accessibility concerns please contact us to discuss.
The event is made possible thanks to the Upper Ovens Valley Landcare Group, Alpine Shire, and through the state government's Victorian Landcare Program.
