Event description

Re-wilding the Valley: a case for taking action

Jane Canaway loves trees, grasslands and nature corridors. She also knows a thing or two about why they are important and how we need to preserve and nurture them. Come along for a discussion with Jane and other re-wilding enthusiasts about what the state of play is in Moonee Valley regarding remnant vegetation and possibilities for citizen stewardship of our Valley.

If you haven’t already, be prepared to fall in love with what we have here on our doorstep and let’s chat about how we can support one another to re-wild our Valley.

Some of our MVS volunteers will be on hand to talk about what the MV City Council already has in their plans for building wildlife corridors across the Valley and how local residents can advocate and campaign for Environmental Significance Overlays (ESOs) to ensure their preservation.

You may already be doing work in this space, so we’d love to hear about that too. Treat this as a community gathering where we can share knowledge and work toward a common goal. Register today!
