About Reworked Runway 2024:

Much like the Sustainable Design work showcased in our production, this year’s venue, space at Irondale is an upcycling project of its own. Once an abandoned nineteenth-century church, now houses the heart of Fort Greene's independent theater world. Since its founding in 1978, Irondale has been the community’s platform for education, art, and social justice.

Reworked Runway is an entirely ticket-funded event making it possible for the emerging designers of NYC to showcase their work in a runway setting without the personal funding that most traditional runway shows require. We thank you for your support, as well as the support from our sponsors.

Thank you to Sun Moon Rising Wine for revolutionizing the wine industry and providing top tier refreshments to our guests, thank you to Materials for the Arts for opening your doors and donating material to this year’s group of designers, and thank you to Big Reuse Center for lending us all of our props and curating our set pieces. A very big thank you to Reworked Founders Isabella Danzi and Liv Reinertson for fueling this project with countless hours of preparation and passion.

Our pre-show cocktail hour is made possible by Sun Moon Rising Wine, a local NYS woman-founded sustainable and low intervention Wine company.

Our set design is sponsored by Big Reuse Center. A sustainable NYC-based organization focused on reducing landfill waste by redistributing existing materials and facilitating local community outreach efforts.

Our designers are sponsored by Materials for the Arts. Founded in 1978, MFTA is one of the country’s largest creative reuse centers providing free creative materials for local educators, students, city agencies, and artistic nonprofits.
