ReWorks: Pretty fly for a DIY...
Description
Reworks is back for a finale... this time with DIY projects, and power tools led by the wonderful Reno Rachel and Demo Debs. Whether you've been meaning to fix something around the house, have a project idea rattling around in your head, or just want to spend a few hours making something out of wood and some kiwi ingenuity/craftsmanship — this one's for you.
You'll be guided through the basics of using power tools safely and confidently; drills, sanders, saws and more — with Reno Rachel and Debs right there alongside you every step of the way.
Browse our XZW Woodward + DIY Yard for materials… or bring your own project — all tools are provided, and whatever you make goes home with you. From small repairs to something built from scratch, the afternoon is yours to shape.
This is for the curious, the keen, and everyone who's ever watched someone use a power tool and thought — I could do that. (You can. Come find out.)
What to bring:
Closed-toe shoes and comfy clothes
Your own lunch, snacks and a water bottle
Your curiosity — everything else is taken care of
Spaces are limited and registration is essential.
Tickets are $30 + booking fee, with Timebank credits also accepted. This will cover materials and tools too!
Reworks is built on the principles of Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose and Repair — proudly brought to the community by Xtreme Zero Waste and Whāingaroa Environment Centre!
