Reworlding City North
Event description
Step into the year 2050, when Naarm Melbourne has become a sprawling megacity grappling with climate change, societal shifts, and evolving technologies. Join this immersive climate action game to shape the city’s regeneration by joining factions, gathering resources, solving puzzles, and working together on creative solutions to make our future community thrive.
Created with support from RMIT’s City North Fest and building on Cardigan Commons, this new game brings Indigenous Language, Knowledges and Cosmologies to reworld the neighbourhood through urban play, creative placekeeping, and embodied learning.
Explore how we might live well together in a rapidly changing world through live action role-play (LARP) highlighting the importance of cooperation, resilience, and diverse perspectives. Reworlding is playful and imaginative, speculative and relational world-building that embraces actions for collective change, do-it-together skills, and speculative design to answer the question: when one world collapses, how do we build the next?
Play to find out.
