Melaleuca is inviting our partners and community members to join us for a diverse fusion of food, markets and inspiring media as we celebrate and showcase the rich cultural diversity of Darwin residents who have walked the refugee journey. Come along to this free event and experience:
Opening address and formalities (6pm) - including Welcome to Country, short address by Melaleuca CEO, cultural musical performances, Inside the Frame multi-media competition award presentations
Market stalls - hosted by community groups selling crafts, food and cultural items
Melaleuca Portable Panel - engage curiously via Q&A with our live panel consisting of professionals and individuals with lived experience discussing the refugee journey
Inside the Frame: Portraits of Belonging - immerse yourself in a variety of different mediums sharing untold stories of refugee journeys, art works displaying resilience and strength, and songs declaring a hopeful future
Live Performance: Enjoy the rhythmic beats of talented migrant musicians as they share their stories and culture through music and song
