Local Brisbane-based artist, Georgia Scarlett welcomes her debut single 'Rhythm of Life' into the world, on the 6th of April - her first single release for her up and coming debut album.

Written at the beginning of a new chapter in her life, the song forms a personal reflection. Georgia's lyrical storytelling explores the ebb and flow of life itself, most evidently in the lyrics "and the seasons keep on changing". The album revolves around the theme of time - the changes which occur externally in the world, and the changes which occur internally, within ourselves.

Her recording journey for her debut album began in November of 2023 at Forbes Street Studios, Sydney (Josh Marx). Here in Brisbane with Hugh Middleton, Georgia finished her single recording adding full band instrumentation, which brought the track to life!

With enchanting, smooth vocals and rich acoustic guitar playing, Georgia Scarlett has crafted a unique and captivating sound also utilising raw acoustic instruments such as strings, clarinet, flute, and piano in her recordings. As described by Keith Urban, Georgia is in "a lane of her own", capturing a combination of folk, country and indie styles. Taking inspiration from artists such as Lisa Mitchell, Billie Marten and Missy Higgins, her artist mission is to connect with her audience through storytelling.

Georgia is embarking on her first headline show to celebrate her new release at The Junk Bar on the 14th of April with strong, folk, female supporting acts Malia Stirling and Ella Belfanti. For her first show, Georgia has planned a solo show to celebrate the beauty of raw acoustic music – an evening of storytelling and acoustic guitars, you won’t want to miss it!

MALIA STIRLING

Based on the Sunshine Coast, Malia Stirling is an up and coming Australian folk singer/ songwriter. With her distinct, angelic voice and poetic lyrics, Malia has captured hearts across Queensland and New South Whales over the past 6years. Shedding light on losing yourself, finding yourself and falling involve with the journey; Malia aims to create a safe, supportive space for like-minded people to gather and feel all the feels. Recently in 2022 and 2023, Malia has shared her songs with listeners across Australia supporting internationally known artists such as; The Fabulous Caprettos (Darryl Braithwaite, Rai Thistlethwaite, Jack Jones and Russell Morris), Vanessa Amorosi, Thirsty Merc and Shane Howard of Goanna alongside her partner, Josh Maynard. Together, the pair have found a life on the road, supplying sweet layers to each others music and falling more involve with the country. With influences such as Missy Higgins, Sara Barellis and Kate-Miller Heidke, Malia gives dynamic, emotive performances supported by rich, swelling production.

ELLA BELFANTI

Hailed as “the next big thing!” by Yumi Stynes, Ella Belfanti weaves together soul and indie folk through her powerful storytelling and creative guitar work. She is known as a one-woman band for her live looping, percussive guitar style, and her huge voice. Drawing influence from Matt Corby, John Butler, Florence Welch and London Grammar, This pint-sized powerhouse is endorsed by Cole Clark Guitars and has developed her soulful sound between playing the snowy mountains of Australia and Japan, and touring the sunburnt Aussie East Coast.
