Somatic Meditations and Mark-Making: A creative journey to explore the pathways of the heart in connection with self and community.

Step out of the busy world and into the vibrant landscape of your own heart. This session marks the first in a new series of workshops designed to deepen our somatic awareness. In the tranquil space of Heartbeet Café in Mount Eliza, we invite you on a meditative journey. Through gentle somatic meditations, we will drop into the body’s wisdom and explore the inner rhythm of our heart.

Durgananda will lead you through these somatic meditations and simple mark-making exercises, guiding you to "trace" the pathways you discover within. We will work with the felt sense of the heart, learning to listen to and embody the subtle physical sensations that carry our inner truths. By bringing the heart’s wisdom into our physical presence, we use the tactile language of pen and paper to express our unique story.

There will be time for conversation and sharing the maps we’ve drawn and the connections we’ve found. This is a space of peace and joyful exploration, a time to reconnect with your own centre and share that resonance with the community around you.

No meditation or artistic skill is needed, just a curious heart and a desire to explore.

Basic drawing materials will be provided.
