And indeed, Davies’ emotive narrative-driven songwriting draws upon a wealth of sources from Celtic and Appalachian folk traditions, 60’s Folk Revival, and – as anyone who has seen the band will attest – a healthy (perhaps bordering on unhealthy?) dose of Springsteen.
