Richard Pavlidis is a saxophonist and composer from Melbourne. Educated at the Victorian College of the Arts, Richard has toured Australia, New Zealand and Europe and has performed at major festivals including Splendour in the Grass, The Manly Jazz Festival in Sydney, and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.Â
Richard's debut solo album 'Without Within' was released in 2019 and supported by an Australian tour. Music from this album can be found in the Australian Jazz Real Book and the Australian Jazz Museum.Â
During the Australian Covid quarantine in 2021, Richard released 'Lockdown Sessions' - a global collaborative album of jazz standards featuring performances from Germany, Israel, the USA, and all around Australia.
Richard’s latest album ‘Iconography’ is due for release in June 2023 and tonight he presents his newest suite of music with Eden Armstrong (piano), Elliott Parker (double bass) and Chris Evans (drums).
