Event description

Ride to Work Day is a National event happening on Wed 16th of October and we’d love you to join us for a social cycle out to Charles Sturt University's Albury-Wodonga Campus.
Depart from bike path near St Pats Football Club soccer field at 7.45am, this easy ride is suitable for all levels of fitness and will take approximately 30 mins to complete. A hot drink and egg and bacon roll will be available to participants at Gums Cafe.

There are so many good reasons to join in - here are just a few:

1. The Albury City Cycleway from the CBD out to our Campus offers safe, separated pathways for the majority of the journey

2. Spring has arrived and the weather is terrific for using active travel as a means to incorporate some exercise into your daily routine

3. In 2023, staff commuting in private vehicles resulted in more than 2,300 tonnes of CO2 emissions across our organisation (equivalent to the total annual emissions of 153 average Australian households!)

4. You will be rewarded with a free breakfast and warm drink upon arrival to campus!

5. October is Health Safety and Wellbeing month

If the nominated meeting location doesn’t suit you, feel free to make your own way to campus and meet as at our arrival point (Gums Cafe).

We also encourage you to register your participation with the Bicycle Network who track national participation in the event: https://www.bicyclenetwork.com.au/rides-and-events/ride2work/ride2work-day/
