Flickerfest, Australia’s largest Australian & International short film competition, is in its 35th year! To celebrate, we’re bringing nine of the most beloved Australian short films from Flickerfest’s 35-year history from Bondi to the Black Opal Heritage Shed, Lightning Ridge, for a celebratory screening under the stars.

Doors open from 5.45pm; please arrive by 6.15pm and be seated by 6.25.

• 9 short films over 2 1/2 hours, including a 15 minute interval

• Award-winning short films, fresh from FLiCKERFEST at Bondi Pavilion

• The screening will be outdoors and it could be chilly, so be sure to wear warm clothes!

• We'll provide chairs, fire bins and stars

Flickerfest is Australia’s only Academy® Award and BAFTA-qualifying short film festival. Over 10 days at Bondi Beach each January, Flickerfest screens curated programmes of the best short films from Australia and around the world, then tours specially curated programmes nationally.

The Australian Opal Centre's Black Opal Heritage Shed was the first venue in western NSW to host Flickerfest on Tour! This year, the Australian Opal Centre is delighted to present Flickerfest’s 35th Anniversary Retrospective Shorts Tour Programme under the stars at Lightning Ridge.

Note: programme contains mature themes; not recommended for children under 15. Children under 15yrs may attend but must be accompanied by an adult.
