Rikud Brooklyn: Israeli Dance Spring Semester 2026
Description
Rikud Brooklyn is back again for a Spring Semester — and we’re dancing longer than ever!!
After two joyful semesters last year, we’re back in Carroll Gardens for more hand-holding, feet-stomping, heart-pumping Israeli dance.
This spring, each evening is 50% longer — a full 90 minutes of movement, music, learning, and community. More time to get comfortable. More time to build the circle. More time to dance.
Whether you’re graceful, still finding your rhythm, or somewhere in between, Israeli dance has a way of pulling you in. You don’t have to know a dance to do a dance. Really. No experience necessary.
What the evening looks like
Each 90-minute session is split into two parts:
6:30-7:15 PM – Teaching & Instruction
Perfect for beginners, refreshers, and anyone who wants to learn (or relearn!) the steps.
7:15-8:00 PM – Mostly Dancing, Less Talking
Already know some dances? Just want to jump in? You’re welcome to arrive later and join the circle.
All levels. All welcome.

Advance registration is strongly encouraged and deeply appreciated — it allows us to plan well, create the best experience possible, and build a consistent dancing community together.
We especially hope you’ll join us for the full semester (at a discounted rate!) — committing to the whole package helps us cultivate rhythm, familiarity, and connection in the circle.
Need flexibility? You’re welcome to register week-by-week. Or sign up for multiple sessions at once and receive an automatic discount.
Drop-ins are welcome, though the rate at the door will be higher...
However you sign up — let’s dance!
Meet Our Instructor: Erica Goldman

Erica Goldman has been an engineering linguist, high school English teacher, nonprofit Chief Program Officer - and alongside it all, an Israeli dance teacher. A two-time Brandeis University graduate with an MBA and a Masters in Jewish Professional Leadership, Erica is a grateful Wexner Fellow.
In 2015, she founded Ma'agal, an initiative to improve Israeli dance education in schools and camps nationwide. In 2023, Erica taught Israeli dance on her fifth continent (so far!).
Erica is an alumna of the Ruskay Institute for Jewish Professional Leadership, a program of UJA-Federation of NY that she now directs, and serves as an Educator for the Cornerstone Fellowship, a program of the Foundation for Jewish Camp. She lives right here in Brooklyn (lucky us!).
Come be part of the circle. Move, and be moved.
