Event description

Warmth means weeds!  Learn how to do smart, staged bush regeneration to avoid getting overwhelmed, focusing on riparian areas! 

Lindy Davis* will lead us in offering a bit of TLC to a well advanced site, then after morning tea we will travel down the road to one which is on the way to regeneration to learn more about the principals and practice.  You will leave encouraged at what is possible, and inspired to tackle the next phase of your property, or give existing areas some strategic TLC.

We may also restart the Hydes Creek Landcare Group, which is the past alternated between the site we will visit, and rotating through members' properties.

9am corner Reids Road and Hydes Creek Road

            Intro, safety talk, and brief history of the site

9:15-10:30 staged regeneration principles and techniques

                Lindy Davis talk and demonstration, some hand pulling by participants.

10:30-11:15 travel to Phillips and morning tea (Landcare cater)- 500m up the road 11:15-12:45 Staged regeneration at a different kind of site.

                Lindy, and a talk about the property overall by the Phillips.

1 catered lunch


BYO water, sun protection, insect protection (especially for ticks), sturdy shoes, and gloves if you have some. Eye protection if you have it can be useful.
