Ripple Effect Conference 2026 - primary prevention of family and sexual violence
Description
Ripple Effect 2026 is a two day community-led professional development conference delivered in Tauranga Moana, focused on primary prevention of family and sexual violence.
First delivered in Tauranga in 2019 through Tauranga City Council's Safer Communities programme, Ripple Effect was developed in collaboration with NZ Police and local family violence coordination networks.
This conference is for practitioners working across health, justice, education, iwi and community who work daily with complex intersections of trauma, coercive control, addiction, sexual violence, and systemic response.
This year's conference theme is From Ripples to Waves - giving attendees an affordable professional development opportunity and space to reflect on practice, moving from individual learning moments into collective, sustained impact.
The two day conference will present key note speakers, workshops and topic-focused couch sessions by leading experts and practitioners from around Aotearoa.
