In this exciting collaboration, Kelly from Conscious Collab and Kyle from Soul Shed NZ, will guide you into a fresh new day by gathering in sacred space to connect deeply with ourselves through movement, mantra, chanting, self-enquiry, medicine drum journey and to receive and connect deeply with the sacred plant medicine of cacao.

Be safely supported and guided to become fully present within the sacred space and within yourself in this special morning offering. As we rise with the sun, we will explore the power of mindset through mantra and intention, connect with and send gratitude to our ancestors through chant, and move into deep awareness of ourselves and our place in the universe through sun salutations and breath.

Your mind, body and spirit will be fully attended to as we share the medicine of cacao and connect deeply with the medicine through somatic tapping and guided meditation. The deep connection to ourselves will serve as the foundation of power that will guide us through the ascension to our highest selves. We will fly together along the sound waves of the medicine drum as we journey to our upper realm of endless possibility.

Throughout ceremony there will be space for compassionate self-enquiry and circle sharing and connection.

Fresh vegan baking and an Incan maca tea will be offered at the end of ceremony to support and empower you for the remaining day ahead.

The Amaru Ceremonial Cacao (Ukhu Pacha) and Organic Activated Maca from Seleno Health will be lovingly served in this ceremony.

ABOUT MEDICINE DRUM JOURNEYS

Medicine drums have been used by our ancestors for thousands of years as a practice or healing modality that allows people to be fully present and come back to our soul. The first thing we heard on this physical plane was the beat of the heart, our mother's, our own. The drum’s heartbeat guides listeners on a journey back to themselves, and in so doing, journeyers find that whatever they need is provided. As such, every journey is different and the use of intention acts as a compass to ensure that you receive what you currently need most right now.

How does it work? In a nutshell, sound journeying is a form of brain training. The beat of the drum (180 – 300 bpm) induces an altered state of consciousness - similar to a lucid dream – and in this altered state, we are able to receive ‘messages’ and guidance that is otherwise blocked from our awareness.

ABOUT CACAO CEREMONY

A deeply revered sacred plant medicine known to grow along the equatorial belt, though her origins are from South to Central America. Here in these regions of the world cacao has been used for thousands of years in ancient traditions, rituals and rites of passage. More now than ever does this world need the healing medicine of cacao to open our hearts, to awaken and to heal.

When used in ceremony, in sacred space, with heartfelt intention, the medicine of cacao works to bring us back to our hearts, to facilitate healing and transformation. When brought back to our hearts, our sacred epicenter, we are once again deeply connected to ourselves and the worlds around us both seen and unseen.

Cacao boasts many amazing nutritional benefits supporting physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Cacao can gently stimulate the cardiovascular system increasing blood flow and energy, support the healthy production of serotonin and dopamine, increase mental focus and clarity, promote feelings of relaxation, happiness, love, increase creativity and inspiration, nourish the body with various vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and health promoting fats and can help to take us out of our heads and into our heart space.

WHAT TO BRING

PRECAUTIONS

-Eat fresh and wholesome the day before ceremony to prepare your physical vessel for the medicine of sound and cacao.

-Eat a very light meal on the morning of the ceremony, about 2 hours beforehand or another option is to fast that morning until ceremony.

-Drink lots of water and avoid alcohol and any other recreational substances the day before.

-Please advise if you are on any medications such as antidepressants, if you are pregnant, if you have any heart conditions, if you have any intolerance to fermented foods, if you have anxiety or are sensitive to stimulants.

-If you have any other health conditions that you are unsure of with regards to drinking cacao please get in touch.

ABOUT KELLY - CONSCIOUS COLLAB

The vision of Conscious Collab is to share the sacred plant medicine of cacao and the deeply healing practice of somatic yin yoga within a safe, loving, and empowering space. The vision is to also soulfully collaborate with other space holders to support and unite the community through inclusive gatherings to promote liberation, peace and unity.

After a number of years of a devotional and deepening practice with ceremonial cacao, and through experiencing huge transformational shifts in her own heart and life, Kelly, the Co-Founder of Conscious Collab, was called to complete the Heart Awakening Cacao Facilitation Training. She has also completed the Seleno Health Ukha Pacha Cacao Ceremony Facilitator Training.

Kelly’s own life journey through trauma, addiction and healing awakened her to follow a soul led life helping others to find their own light and shine brightly once again. She has completed the Stella Yoga 60hr Trauma Sensitive Yin Yoga, Personal Development and Facilitator Training and a Diploma in Health Sciences through the Naturopathic College of NZ. Kelly is also a Brand and Culture Ambassador for Seleno Health.

ABOUT KYLE - SOUL SHED NZ

Soul Shed NZ sprouted out of a yearning to share teachings that helped liberate Kyle from his own restrictive stories. Kyle spent over 15 years living in numbness due to dissociation and repression of emotions, until he stumbled upon Compassion. Kyle hails from California and brings a rich background of spiritual teachings from around the world. He is an avid learner and thus, after completing his PhD in Chemistry and being a Carpentry apprentice, he decided to address the aching hole in his spiritual side by reconnecting to his teacher.

After 4 months of being in her presence he was guided to launch Soul Shed NZ in Oct 2021 where he facilitates deep inner work (shadow work), trauma healing, meditation, compassion, and medicine drum circles.

Kyle incorporates ancient wisdom, movement, smell, sound, breath, writing, drawing, psychology, philosophy, question, sharing, and raw honesty and empathy to enable others to soften into themselves and allow space for remembering who they are.
