RITUALS DJs: Expect dark dance anthems from across the eras from our RITUALS DJs and special guests at the dedicated upstairs outdoors courtyard area. Our devoted selectors love exploring moody genres throughout the eras ~ goth // industrial // darkwave // body music // post-punk // punk // synth ~

SKELEOKE: If you haven't been before, Skeleoke is a dark, alternative, goth, metal, weirdo and queerdo friendly karaoke event. We have spent a long time curating a list of songs for maximum majesty and cathartic joy.Here is a recent song list, but expect some updates before the day. Feel free to request songs that you'd love to sing, but note that some karaoke staples are absent by design, but some appropriate songs may have been  overlooked. CLICK HERE FOR SONG LIST. 

We also manage song requests via our website, https://skeleoke.heartsofdarkness.com.au -- If you haven't sung with us, please register, this is how you'll request songs on the night.

RITUALS & SKELEOKE events celebrate alternative culture and lifestyle in a safe space for all bodies and identities. At our parties we have a policy of strictly no tolerance for harassment of any kind. Always look after one another, advocate for everyone's safety and if you are feeling uncomfortable or witness someone feeling the same, let the staff / DJs know.

ACCESSIBILITY: Golden Boy is a ground level venue, accessible by outward-pulling double doors. The venue is level with the sidewalk, with no steps needed. To access the rooftop bar upstairs, there is a narrow staircase with handrail or a disability access lift.

FUNDRAISING: Hearts of Darkness is the not-for-profit incorporated association behind ALT, RITUALS, VOLTA and ZERO. We are completely independent and volunteer-run, formed in 2018 to hold space for alternative/dark/weird/left-of-centre art and music events in Boorloo. All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly into helping us run the variety of gigs we run throughout the year (over 50 in the last 12 months alone!) 🖤
