Description

Your attendance at this event is incredibly important.

From the very beginning, the RIV Project made a commitment to our community that we would deliver evidence-informed education, work collaboratively with our partners, and be transparent about the outcomes we achieve. This event is an opportunity for us to demonstrate how we have honoured that commitment by sharing the project's evaluation findings, community feedback, and the measurable progress made during our first year.

We believe that projects such as RIV should be accountable to the communities they serve. Rather than simply reporting on what we have done, we want our partners, supporters, schools, and community members to see firsthand how the project has been evaluated, how young people have responded, and how community voices have shaped and strengthened our work.

Your presence also helps demonstrate that preventing family and domestic violence is a shared community responsibility. The partnerships that have been built across schools, community organisations, local businesses, and government agencies are at the heart of this initiative, and your continued support sends a powerful message that our community is committed to creating lasting change.

While Bendigo Bank has generously provided three years of funding to establish the project, our vision extends over ten years. Lasting cultural change takes time, and meaningful prevention requires sustained investment. As we look to the future, we hope those attending will consider introducing the project to individuals, businesses, philanthropic organisations, or funding bodies that share our vision and may be interested in helping extend the life of this important work.

By attending, you become an advocate for a safer future for young people. Your networks, knowledge, and conversations may open doors that enable the RIV Project to continue supporting future generations in developing healthy, respectful relationships.

So we would love to see you at the Crowne Plaza on Thursday 17th September, 2026 from 4 pm to 6pm.
