Rivering: Compositions by Lily Rose Atu
Description
Rivering at Rogue!
Come celebrate Rivering on the 19th of November with us. If you haven’t had a chance to catch us play yet, this gig is for you, and if you have already supported this project, come along, dance and grab a drink.
The collection of music entitled Rivering is written by saxophonist and vocalist Lily Rose Atu, and is deeply inspired by her love of jazz and neo-soul. It has been workshopped across the year with Jono Ben Zur (bass), Ranu Wijesuriya (drums), and Paulina Hernandez (piano) and has recently been recorded at Massey University.
Special features at this gig include Elisa Bird (clarinet and baritone) Frank Paton (trumpet) and Victoria Ferry (vocals). This will be our last gig with the incredible pianist Paulina who will be heading overseas a few days after this show. Come and listen to the music we have created together for a final time!
