    Celebrate World Environment Day immersed in hands-on activities and learning about different science-based careers from experts living the dream.

    Students will have the opportunity to participate in a live Q&A with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki and hear from expert guest speakers including palaeontologist Ben Francischelli!

    9:45 am - 2 pm
    Please ensure students have recess/morning tea on the way to the YEL location ready for forum start at 9:45.


    Anticipated program
    From 9:30 am - Arrive YEL location (The Precinct, 25 Bookpurnong Terrace Loxton).
    Students should eat recess/morning tea on the way and be ready to start at 9:45.

    9:45 am Welcome to Country
    9:50 am Welcome, introductions, overview of the day.
    10:00 am A Fool’s Experiment - live teams link with palaeontologist Ben Francischelli.

    10:40 am Split into groups and head to activities:
    10:45 am Science guests and activities:

    Denham Ewens, Sustainable Agriculture Officer, Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board.
    Gillian Kowalick, Field Ecologist and Wildlife Educator, Australian Wildlife Conservancy Yookamurra.
    Peter Szabo, General manager CCW and Nockburra Creek Mulberry Farm.
    11:50 am Lunch
    12:15 pm Re-group and be ready for live hookup with Dr Karl.
    12:30 pm Live online Q&A session with Dr Karl Kruszelnicki.

    1:15 pm Re-group - what did we learn from Dr Karl?.
    1:30 pm Final wrap-up, review of the day, sharing back at school.
    2:00 pm YEL Close.
