Rivers of Wind - Low Numbers Session
Event description
Be swept away in Rivers of Wind, a mesmerising immersive experience that draws on 8 years of weather data from the Wellington Airport weather station to visualise the invisible. Artist Delainy Jamahl shifts our experience of wind from one sense to another, exploring the intersection of technology and nature and their effect on the human experience.
This continuously looping 48 minute artwork is presented in a wrap-around projection environment with a surround soundtrack produced by renowned New Zealand composer Rhian Sheehan with musician Ed Zuccollo.
LOW NUMBERS SESSION - SATURDAY 20 JULY
Our adapted session of this mesmerising immersive experience offers low audience numbers and reduced sound volume, from 10 - 11am on Saturday 20 July.
The space has cushions and stools, and you are welcome to get comfortable on the floor, move around the space, touch the walls, and stand or sit in the projection.
We can’t adjust the projected video or lighting in the space. The projection is bright and dynamic and the surrounding lighting is low.
