We are all weaving our unique threads in this great tapestry of life,

Sometimes we lose track of our own thread and get swept up in the external noise

And sometimes our thread feels like a tightly curled ball of wool, or frayed at the end and in need of some nourishment

And that is all OK!

This journey is an invitation to unwind and unravel through the layers of your body and to remember the thread that you are here to weave, as you allow that to dance with the whole.

We will be gathering and dancing in the outdoor area of Jacobs River Bakehouse, please enter through the rear parking area, rather than coming through the cafe.

Join us to connect with yourself and nature, to let go of the rational, logical & daily tasks and come home to your body and intuition through the freedom of movement and connection with nature.

Through dance we reclaim the wisdom of our bodies and innate connection with the natural world. We open to receive the gifts and insights that arise when we let go of thinking, trying to get it right, or performing for anyone else and allow ourselves to be moved by life.

What to expect:

Initial gathering and taking the time to settle in

Your dance journey will begin slow, as you connect to yourself and your environment, before building to the "peak" of the dance and music, where you have the opportunity to let go and surrender to the rhythm that is moving you, as you surrender any limitations, or thoughts that no longer serve you. You journey will slowly bring you back to the earth, where we will land together to honour and close the experience.

No phones or talking on the "dance floor"

What is Somatic Dance?

Somatic dance is a facilitated free form movement journey, paired with a soundscape (this journey will be DJ'd) to support your embodiment. This is a judgement free space where ALL OF YOU is welcome.

We hold a sacred space for you to melt away the stories & limiting beliefs that are no longer serving you, so that you can open up to new possibility and reconnect with your divine essence through reclaiming the freedom of dance, without there being a "right" way to move.

The music and guidance will take you in a "wave", from stillness, to full expression and release, back down to stillness. Everything that is offered in this space is an invitation and opportunity to listen to your own body and move (or rest) in the way that most serves you, knowing that YOU are your best guide.

No experience necessary to join.
