Event description

Sharon McLean, the College's Sustainability Coordinator, has kindly offered to mark Laudato si’ by offering to the P&F a ‘Riverview Environment Walk around the College Foreshore and grounds.

The walk will take place after First Friday Mass (mass starts at 8:10am in Dalton Chapel) and Morning Tea on 2 June, and is expected to take about an hour to an hour and a half. There will be reflection time along the way.

Please note: As the path has uneven surfaces, please wear appropriate walking shoes. Due to the uneven surfaces on the walk it is unsuitable for people with mobility difficulties.

What is the meaning of Laudato Si?

Latin for "Praised Be," Laudato Si' is the name of Pope Francis' encyclical on caring for our common home — planet earth. The letter is addressed to "every person living on this planet" and calls for a global dialogue about how we are shaping the future of our planet through our daily actions and decisions.
