    Event description

Rotary Means Business WA is pleased to present “An Evening with Dr Ken Michael AC; Former Governor of WA” on September 6th at the Duxton Hotel. With half a century of leadership experience under his belt, Ken will share his unique insight into cultivating long-lasting and effective relationships.

A pillar of society, Ken is known for his tireless contribution to government, business, and community activity.

Originally a bridge design engineer by profession, Ken’s ascendancy to the role of Governor was preceded by time as Commissioner of Main Roads, Chair of the East Perth Redevelopment Authority, member of the Economic Regulation Authority, and Chancellor of UWA.

Ken’s commitment to community service includes being Chairman of the WA Museum, the Australian Defence Force Assistance Trust, Chairman and President of the West Australian Cricket Association.

Ken has also been a member, Deputy Chairman of Council and ultimately President of the National Trust of WA as well as President of the Rotary Club of Perth, and Board Memberships of Hellenic Australian, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cancer Council of WA, and the Centre of Leadership and Management.

Don’t miss this privilege of hearing Ken share years of gathered insight in conversation with our own John Garland AM.

Rotary Means Business WA is a Fellowship of Rotary International. It is a vibrant, valuable and productive business Fellowship that enhances B2B and B2C commerce between and for Rotarians in business, and also provides an avenue to help strategically scale up members' good works at their Rotary Club. Its ethos is based on the principles of the Rotary Four Way Test which talks about honesty, fairness, friendship and benefit to all concerned.
