RMIT RedActs Presents: La Commedia Del Latte
Event description
The lowly servant Arlechino falls in love at first sight with the beautiful Colombina, the daughter of the wealthy merchant Pantalone. Along with their trusted comrade Metz, the lovers attempt to get married in secrecy, to save Colombina from an arranged marriage to the arrogant Il Capitano. This light-hearted exploration of love, friendship, and the human condition will have you laughing until the very end!
La Commedia Del Latte is an original comedy paying homage to a classical 16th-century Italian theatre style, Commedia Del’arte, which has since inspired Shakespeare, pantomime, and most modern comedy. It features quick humour and physical comedy, and is iconic for its use of masks, and stock characters.Â
