There is a crash; the impact on those involved is immediate and life-long; it will affect friends, family, and colleagues from across the community. Questions will be asked - Why did it happen? How did it happen? What, if any, action might be needed?

How might your Council react to this crash? How might it respond to these questions? What happens within your organisation to understand its strengths and vulnerabilities? Are there gaps in Council's processes, leadership, engagement, or actions in managing its role in the delivery of safer roads to the community?

The LGN's March webinar will explore road safety management in a local government context. Come and hear from Johann Tay (Forensic Crash Investigator and former Council Traffic Engineer), Dr John Crozier (Trauma Surgeon), and Ping Sim (Principal Advisor on transport safety at Auckland Transport) with discussion facilitated by David McTiernan (LGN Committee member and former Council Traffic Engineer) as they walk you through a crash scenario to highlight the common strengths, gaps, and opportunities for local government involvement in road safety.
