Event description
Rangely OHV Adventure Rally is a three-day event on the Wagon Wheel West OHV trail system, Wagon Wheel OHV Trails (wagonwheeltrails.org). The event includes a welcome mixer at the Rangely Automotive Museum, where you can park your OHV to show it off, enjoy live music, chat with old and new friends, and purchase ROAR merchandise. A fun ride at dusk to Kenney Reservoir, guided trail rides & shrimp boil. Also, during the event, you can find many different things to do such as an OHV rodeo, a poker run hosted by Rio Blanco County Search & Rescue, an ongoing OHV expo, and hundreds of miles of trails for open riding. Come ride the High Mountain Desert of Northwestern Colorado!
All roads in Rangely are legal for OHV use, aside from CO HWY 64 (MAIN ST) which can only be crossed, as long as the machine is properly equipped. Required equipment includes a headlight, taillight, brakes, and a muffler/spark arrestor. NO DRIVING DIRECTLY ON MAIN STREET - CROSSINGÂ ONLY. Additional info can be found here.
*All or part of this operation is conducted on public lands under a special permit from the U.S. Bureau of Land Management.*
Riders must obtain a permit for Colorado OHV Trails you can click the link below and obtain it online under land & trails costing $25.25 you may also purchase the registration sticker with CASH at Rangely True Value (105 W. Main Street).

Thursday, April 25th, 2024
11:00am - Vendor setup
1:00-4:00pm - Registration & OHV expo at the Early Education Center. Open riding
5:00pm - Mixer and Show & Shine at the Rangely Automotive Museum. Line your vehicles up on South Stanolind Ave to show off your machine. Enjoy drinks, live music, conversation, food trucks and purchase ROAR merchandise.Â
Friday, April 26th, 2024
7:30am-4:30pm - OHV Expo
7:30-8:30am - Registration, check-in, trail sign-up
8:30-9:00am - Rider's Meeting
9:00-4:30pm - Guided rides
6:00-7:30pm - Shrimp boil at Elk's Park
7:00pm - First group departs for guided night ride to Kenney Reservoir. Departing from Elk's Park
Saturday, April 27th, 2024
7:30am-4:30pm - OHV Expo
7:30-8:45am - Registration, check-in, trail sign-up
8:45-9:00am - Rider's Meeting
9:00am-4:00pm - Guided rides
4:00-6:00pm - OHV Poker Run (ends at Columbine Park)
6:00pm - Dinner at Columbine Park
6:30pm - OHV Rodeo begins - Free to spectators
Drawing for all raffle prizes will be during the rodeo. You must be present to win.Â
