Overview: From Idea to Mix, showcases some of the best production tools in the Universal Audio catalog. Rob demonstrates how UA’s hardware and software are organically tied to high level music production. From compressors, EQ’s and mastering solutions Rob will help to take a good mix to great. (This session will take place at the Yorkville Exhibit on the 1st Floor)

Presnter: Rob Wells is a multi-platinum, award-winning music producer and songwriter based in Canada, celebrated for his work across the global pop landscape. A JUNO and ECMA nominee, Rob’s signature sound has powered the careers of some of the world’s biggest artists, including Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Adam Lambert, Weezer, Backstreet Boys, Nelly Furtado, Nick Lachey, and many more.

Rob’s music has generated tens of millions in record sales and amassed over 9.5 billion streams worldwide. His work has been featured extensively in film, television, advertising, and video games, reaching global audiences across multiple platforms. He’s also been honored with a star on the Mississauga Music Walk of Fame. On screen, Rob has appeared as a producer on Canadian Idol, The House of Carters, and The Next Star. He is the recipient of multiple SOCAN #1 awards, numerous songwriting competition first-place wins, and holds multiple gold, platinum, and multi-platinum certifications.

Passionate about education, Rob is a faculty member at Toronto’s Harris Institute for the Arts, where he teaches Songwriting Levels 1 & 2. He also guest lectures at Fanshawe College (Canada), the Irish Institute of Music & Song (Ireland), IMSTAFESTA, and Lakefield College School.

Rob is the creator and host of the podcast “Women In The Music Industry,” available on all major podcast platforms and YouTube, where he highlights and celebrates the voices of women shaping the music business today
