Rock for the Ocean - Our oceans need us!
Event description
Sydney’s Northern Beaches is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia. And those beaches are home to incredible marine life - from giant cuttlefish to sea dragons, to blue gropers and green sea turtles.Â
Yet our precious marine life is facing many threats - from shark nets, overfishing, pollution and climate change.
That’s why we’re bringing together a group of ocean warriors for a fun, free and family-friendly local event celebrating the magic of our Northern Beaches and what we can all do to protect it.
Rock for the Ocean is hosted by Greens MP and former Chair of Sea Shepherd Australia, Cate Faehrmann, who will be joined by inspirational locals doing extraordinary things to protect our oceans:
- Abbey Isenhood of Surfboard Souls Manly - Saving surfboards from landfill
- Emily Rowland - Ocean Youth Ambassador
AND
- Local funk/punk/jazz outfit Respectable NoiseÂ
We really hope to see you there!
