ROCK THE BOAT FILM FESTIVAL - Season 2
A short film festival that is open and accessible to anyone of any age, with the aims of encouraging aspiring storytellers, platforming emerging filmmakers, and bringing communities closer together through storytelling.
There are numerous sessions available for the different regions the festival is screening this year. Additionally, Rockingham has two separate sessions. GALA NIGHT INFORMATION
Gala Awards Night – 25th November, 6:00pm | Gary Holland Community Centre, Kent Street, Rockingham

The second year of Rock The Boat Film Festival will conclude with a black-tie, red-carpet awards presentation and closing ceremony, uniting filmmakers, finalists, friends and family from across all three regions of the festival.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm sharp. Upon arrival, our official event photographer will capture you walking in on the red carpet, and you will receive a complimentary drink (sparkling wine or juice). In the foyer, there will be our Media Wall, and in the main hall, there will be a photo booth with plenty of props and furniture for further photo opportunities. Throughout the evening, as guests will be seated in theatre-style rows for speeches, screenings and presentations, they will be served substantial cocktail food by Impressions Catering. The cash bar for various beverages will be open for most of the night.
After the main category finalists and People’s Choice awards recipients are acknowledged and awarded, and following a brief Closing Ceremony, the night will conclude by 11:00 pm.
In the days following the event, all guests (emailed to those who booked the ticket/s) will have access to downloads of any professional photographs taken of you on the night, which you are welcome to keep or share. Please notify us if you do not wish for yourself or your child to be featured in photographs or recordings.
Please note, the Gala Awards Night tickets opened 11th September. Notification of special dietary requirements have now closed.
There is a 'no refund' policy on tickets. However, should your situation change and you cannot attend the night you are welcome to pass your ticket onto someone else, and notify us of the change of name and details.
