Smokey Dan’s brings you ‘Rocktoberfest’ an Oktoberfest themed rock music extravaganza on the beautiful south coast of NSW. This will be a day to remember featuring 10 amazing acts, fun games and competitions, a special German menu and best dressed awards.

BAD PONY
Australian indie rock lords Bad Pony have twelve national tours and three international showcases under their belt (Singapore’s Music Matters, Canadian Music Week and SXSW). They’ve spent the most part of their career together on the road touring their two self-produced EPs, gaining national radio play and staggering streaming success with a string of singles.
After playing to packed out venues across Texas at SxSW 2018, Bad Pony’s explosive live show earned such praise from SxSW as "next in line to break out." as well as the award for ‘Best Australian Group’, as voted by The AU Review after playing Sounds Australia’s Aussie BBQ at the inaugural Australia House Showcase alongside national legends Gang of Youths.
Bad Pony have spent the last few years carefully crafting their debut album. The band have
self-produced much of the record, whilst enlisting the expertise of Alex L’Estrange on mixing duties (Jaguar Jonze, Hope D, My Own Pet Radio).
THE SPINDRIFT SAGA
The Spindrift Saga are renowned for their explosive live shows, “catchy rhythms, bright licks” and huge alt funk-rock sound. Over the course of a decade, this act has gained a large underground following and accumulated a long list of achievements. Touring extensively, The Spindrift Saga has supported the likes of The Living End, Thirsty Merc, The Rubens, British India and many other music industry heavyweights. The band’s debut full-length record ‘Badnormous’ has received airplay around the country and earned The Spindrift Saga a unique place in the alternative rock scene. Since their album release, the band has released several new singles and are currently working on their highly anticipated sophomore album.
FRIPPS & FRIPPS
Fripps have been kicking since 2013 and have released two EP’s with multiple singles featuring on the Spotify UK Viral 50 and The Indie List. Before the world shit itself the band were fortunate enough to tour nationally, play a handful of Australian festivals and feature at the 2019 SXSW music conference in Austin, Texas. Like a lot of bands globally, the boys had been grinding hard and are ready to re-ignite that energy in 2022 with a handful of singles, tours and other goodies in the works already
ARCHIE
ARCHIE is a surf rock indie band from Canberra, with a passion for creating good music and good vibes. Every gig is full of fun-loving, positive energy brought to you by Grant Simpson (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Liv Faletoese (Bass), Xandy Wanjura (Drums) and Geromy Houghton (Guitar and Synths).
Since their debut in late 2019, ARCHIE has been lucky enough to play alongside NZ superstar BENEE, Aussie faves Lime Cordiale, and Canberra legends Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Citizen Kay, Moaning Lisa and Sesame Girl.
Their newest single ‘Closure’ is the perfect coastal tune for anyone keen to get back on the dance floor. ARCHIE are super keen to be on the road in 2022 - catch them in Canberra, Wagga Wagga, Sydney and more, as they keep spreading the positivity and funk to many more beautiful people.
QUITE LIKE PETE
Quite Like Pete are a 5 piece Pop Rock 'n' Roll band hailing from the South Coast of NSW Australia. Known for their high energy shows, catchy choruses and strong melodies, QLP give it all.
Playing together since 2014 and taking influences from rock giants, blink-182, Nirvana, RHCP and The Offspring. QLP have slowly developed a strong sound full of face paced energy and they've put all of that into their first EP "Can't Get Enough!" released in 2019
Quite Like Pete have played many shows, large and small and have shared some with Artists such as Clowns, Skegss, Kingswood and British India.
SIGNS & SYMBOLS
Signs & Symbols are a four piece love machine from Ngunnawal Country/Canberra. They enjoy good music, good vibes and good times. Often described as best friends with a serious music problem, the band endeavours to create a welcoming atmosphere to share in emotions and amps regularly turned up to 11. Hugs available in person.
BOX DYE
Box Dye are a three-piece writing and creating on Ngunnawal country. With anthems that get the crowd screaming every time, it’s no wonder they’ve blown up the Canberra scene with their already loyal fan base . Come along to a show to join the fun, but I can’t promise you’ll leave without adding hair dye onto your next shopping list and some major hair envy.
TOTUM
TOTUM featuring Dave and Jo Tweedie is one of the south coasts favourite local acts. Using live looping with percussion and guitars, along with lush vocal harmonies and a diverse set list, TOTUM can keep the punters entertained all night.
Dave has been performing professionally for over 20 years and has toured the country numerous times with Aussie pop icon Pete Murray and US sensation Tony Childs as well as sharing the stage with Jimmy Barnes, Busby Marou, Katie Noonan, Mal Eastick, Dave Ades and a bunch of other amazing artists. His partner Jo is an amazingly talented singer with beautiful tone and feeling not possessed by many.
TOTUM has also released an EP of original music called Little Birdy.
LEONIE KINGDOM
Leonie Kingdom is an emerging Indie-folk Artist from South East Queensland. She specialises in Acoustic Guitar, Singing, Song writing and Live Performance. Leonie’s Style could be described as Emotional, Dark, and even Haunting. Leonie has held herself as an artist and performed music for many years.
Though it was the recent release of her first single ‘Night Terrors’ that hit number one on the Triple J unearthed overall charts that gained her attention around the globe. Nkechi Anele (triple j host) described Leonie's voice as ‘Sweet like honey, yet dark and mysterious in all the right ways’.
She has since released ‘2020’, ‘Cellito’ and ‘Bricks’ and to date, bringing ‘Fragile emotional threads that are twisted and turned thanks to that killer vocal.’ (Dave Ruby Howe) to light. Leonie has performed at Tamworth music festival, The Gympie Muster, Heart of gold International film festival, Queenscliff music festival, Spirit of Bundaberg Festival, Ocean festival, alongside many other events around Australia.
