Candle Making Workshop | River Of Life Church Fundraiser

A beautiful afternoon of creativity, connection & purpose.

Join Elora Creative Co. and River of Life Church for a relaxed afternoon of coffee, cakes and candle making, as we come together to help raise funds towards River of Life’s new Community Coffee Van.

Whether you come with a friend, bring your mum or daughter, gather a group together, or simply come along yourself, you’ll be warmly welcomed.

No candle-making experience is needed — we’ll guide you through everything.

🕯️ What you'll create

During our approximately 3-hour workshop, you’ll be guided through creating your own beautiful Elora Creative Co. signature candle, complete with our signature cork-ball vessel.

You’ll also make your own wax melts to take home.

You’ll be able to choose your fragrance and enjoy the process of blending, pouring and creating your own beautifully scented pieces.

While our candles set, there’ll be time to enjoy coffee, cake and conversation — and to hear a little more about the heart behind Elora Creative Co., River of Life Church and the vision for the Community Coffee Van.

At the end of the afternoon, you'll leave with the beautiful products you've created yourself — and hopefully some lovely memories too.

☕ Creating something with a greater purpose

This afternoon isn't only about making candles.

We’re coming together to help River of Life Church raise funds for a Community Coffee Van — a practical way for the church to get out into the community, connect with people, offer hospitality and create opportunities to serve those around them.

Every person who joins us helps bring that vision a little closer.

🎟️ Tickets — $99 per person

To make the fundraiser work a little differently, your workshop payment is divided into two parts:

$59 BOOKING PAYMENT
Paid online when you book your place and retained by Elora Creative Co. to contribute towards your workshop, products, materials and event costs.

$40 FUNDRAISING CONTRIBUTION
Payable directly to River of Life Church on the day of the event towards their Community Coffee Van fundraiser.

Total cost: $99 per person.

Please remember to bring your $40 balance with you on the day. Details regarding available payment methods can be provided prior to the event.

We recommend arriving around 10–15 minutes early so we can have everyone settled and ready to begin together at 2pm.

👗 What should I wear?

Candle making can occasionally get a little messy, so we'd recommend wearing something comfortable that you won't mind getting a little wax on.

We'll provide everything else you need.

👧 Age suitability

Candle making involves hot wax and fragrance oils, so children must not handle hot wax or equipment without appropriate supervision.

If you're planning to bring a younger attendee, please contact Elora Creative Co. before purchasing their ticket so we can make sure the workshop is suitable for them.

🍰 Dietary requirements

If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let us know when completing your booking.

We'll do our best to accommodate dietary needs where possible, but please be aware that food may be prepared in environments where common allergens are present.

🎁 A little something extra

There may also be an opportunity on the day to discover and purchase more from Elora Creative Co., with a portion of additional event sales also helping support the fundraiser.

So if you fall in love with a fragrance while you're creating, you may just be able to take a little more Elora home with you. 🤍

Cancellations & Refunds

Your booking secures your place and allows us to purchase and prepare the materials required especially for you.

The $59 booking payment is refundable for cancellations made at least 7 days before the event.

Cancellations within 7 days of the event and non-attendance are non-refundable due to materials and event costs already being committed.

If you can't attend, you're welcome to transfer your booking to someone else at no additional charge. Please contact Elora Creative Co. beforehand so we can update the attendee details.

The $40 fundraising contribution is not collected by Elora Creative Co. and is only payable directly to River of Life Church on the day.

If the event is cancelled by the organisers, your $59 booking payment will be refunded in full.

Nothing in this policy excludes any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
