Roleystone Theatre Presents: A Series of 3 'One Act' Plays
Event description
The Roleystone Theatre will hold our first one act season in over six years with our return to our home venue.
We have three very different one at plays on offer; one being locally written by director Aydee Bull (Mr Notahero and the Horrors of Science), another adapted from a published short story by director Andre Victor (The Simple Gift), and the other a classic Chekhov play directed by Paul Treasure (The Proposal).
The plays will be performed in the following order:

Posing as a high-school chemistry teacher, the famous West Australian superhero “Great Man” endeavours to save the world from the tyrannical Madame Molecule, a supervillain intent on enslaving the world through her potions. When Madame Molecule infiltrates the classroom and his secret identity is revealed, the class must work together to put an end to Madame Molecule’s schemes once and for all.
The Proposal written by Anton Chekhov
When Stepan Stepanovich Chubukov is visited by his neighbour Ivan Vassilevitch Lomov, he is surprised and delighted to discover that he has come to propose to Chubukov's daughter Natalya Stepanova. But can Lomov and Natalya stop arguing long enough for Lomov to actually pop the question.
