    The award-winning Barden Party Theatre Troupe are coming back to Raetihi Lodge with another piece of Shakespearean musical magic, for the whole family, like you’ve never seen before.

    Romeo & Juliet is the raucous retelling of the Shakespearean tragedy classic, about the romance between two Italian youths from feuding families. The Barden Party is a troupe of travelling troubadours, presenting a musical,‘rockabilly retelling’ of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet.

    On Saturday 9th March at 2pm, the performers are coming back to the Marlborough Sounds for a show in the gardens at Raetihi Lodge.

    Ticket Packages:
    Platter & Show (for 2 people)  $120  

    Kid's Pizza & Show  $25 each   

    Family Package (2 adults & 2 kids) Platter/Pizza & Show  $150  

    Show Only - Adults $30

    Show Only - Children (10-17 years old)  $15

    Show Only - Children 9 years and under are free if accompanied by a paying adult


    HOW TO GET HERE?  

    Water transfers (return trip) from Havelock Marina to/from Raetihi Lodge $40 per person, return trip (Minimum 8 People) LIMITED SEATS ONLY with our Raetihi Lodge boat & skipper. If you are interested in booking a seat on the return boat transfer, please call Liane directly to confirm availability, on 0223971828.  Payment for the boat transfer will be taken when you arrive at Raetihi Lodge.

    The Barden Party was born in a Nelson backyard during the height of the Covid pandemic to bring joy and laughter safely to people’s homes. Then the troupe became a sell-out across New Zealand, picking up awards and accolades along its 80-show season. And now The Barden Party have just completed an Australian East Coast tour from Brisbane to Sydney, and prior to that a tour through the US
