Romeo Lahey Memorial Lecture 2024

We are pleased to introduce our speaker for this year's memorial lecture as Professor Kerrie Wilson, who commenced in the role of the Queensland Chief Scientist on 1 November 2023.

The Romeo Lahey Memorial Lecture honours the principal founder of the National Parks Association of Queensland (NPAQ), who remained President or more than 30 years and was instrumental in convincing the Queensland Government to declare many of the state’s national parks gazetted up to the 1970s.

*A raffle will be held on the day and a light morning tea and refreshments will be served following the lecture.
