Concert Pianist Ronan Magill visits Australia for the first time!
We’re proud to announce that the concert pianist and composer Ronan Magill will visit Australia in November to give solo recitals. He will be performing at the beautiful Hunter Baillie Church in Annandale, Sydney, on Sunday 22nd of November at 3.00 pm.
Ronan, born in the UK of Irish parents in 1954, was a founder pupil of the now world famous Yehudi Menuhin School, and later worked with Benjamin Britten while at the Royal College of Music where he won the top prizes for piano and composition. He then moved to Paris where he lived and performed for many years and then more recently in Japan where he now lives.
For this concert, he will be playing great piano masterpieces as well as works by Miriam Hyde, the esteemed Australian composer and his own deeply affecting composition commemorating the Titanic disaster of 1912.

- Where is the church and is there parking?
Hunter Baillie Memorial Church is located at the corner of Johnston St and Collins St. Parking is available at the rear of the church. Alternatively untimed parking is available at Johnston St, Collins St, and Annandale St.
- Do I need to book tickets?
Yes you book tickets by donation via Humanitix.
- Is there any entry fee?
Entry is by donation. We suggest $50 donation for general entry and $35 for concession.
- Is the event suitable for children?
Children are very welcome. We ask that they remain seated and reasonably quiet during the recital out of consideration for other audience members.
- Is the church wheelchair accessible?
The church has level access at the main entrance and we will do our best to accommodate anyone with mobility needs. If you have specific accessibility requirements, please contact us in advance so we can assist you.
- Will there be a printed programme?
Yes, a printed programme will be available on the day.
