Roo Rugby Summer Skills Camps 2026
Description
Roo Rugby Summer Skills Camps 2026
Roo Rugby is excited to launch TWO Summer Skills Camps, designed for players who want to keep developing their game, stay active during the holidays, and build momentum heading into the 2027 rugby season.
Each camp will focus on the core skills that underpin successful rugby, including catch and pass, tackle technique, breakdown work, footwork, support play, running lines, evasive skills, and decision-making under pressure. Players will participate in a range of engaging skill-based activities, modified games, competitions, and match scenarios designed to maximise enjoyment while accelerating development.
The camps will also draw inspiration from Newington's 2026 GPS Premiership-winning 1st XV. Players will learn the habits, standards, and skills that contributed to the team's success, with appearances from current and former Newington players who will share their experiences and assist with coaching throughout the camps.
Whether your goal is to make a representative team, earn selection in a higher school side, prepare for the upcoming season, or simply become a more confident rugby player, Roo Rugby's Summer Skills Camps provide the perfect opportunity to stay active, keep improving, and have plenty of fun during the school holidays.
