Event description

Join us for ‘Room to Breathe,’ a film and discussion event that explores balancing self-care with caring for others during tough times.

Stick around after for a lively chat on how we juggle personal and family needs while staying connected to our community.

Children are welcome. To allow adult discussion, a craft-making space with adult supervision will be available for the duration of the event.

Agenda:

  • 3:00 PM: Welcome experience
  • 3:15 PM: Screening of "Room to Breathe" – This poignant film highlights the pandemic's heightened challenges, especially the disproportionate burdens on women, setting the stage for a broader discussion.
  • 3:45 PM: Professionally Facilitated Reflection Exercise – Engage in a guided exploration with our expert facilitator to discuss how we can cultivate empathy for ourselves alongside others. This session is a chance to reflect on your experiences and engage in meaningful dialogue about achieving equilibrium in our interconnected lives.
  • 4:30 PM: Event ends

This gathering is an opportunity to connect, reflect, and inspire each other through shared experiences and collective wisdom. Whether you're seeking to understand your journey better or learn how to support those around you, this event promises to be enlightening and empowering.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Accessible via Brookland Metro. Parking is available in nearby garage or multiple on-street options.
