Event description
RootBound Festival is three day eco-conscious music, arts, education, and land-care event hosted on Mungalla Station, located on Nywaigi Country, just outside of Ingham.
RootBound marks the merging of two eco-conscious event collectives within the Far North Queensland region: Sprout Festival and Coalescence.
After an inspiring inaugural event in 2021, we have decided to continue the collaboration for years to come!
RootBound signals a new path forward in the FNQ festival culture. We’re working alongside local council, community, arts, and landcare organisations, creating strategic partnerships focused on strengthening community growth and social cohesion.
We’re addressing environmental issues and taking real on-ground action in the fight against climate change, placing education at the forefront of the event and celebrating innovative ways of approaching the world we live in.
RootBound aims to create a safe space for new entries into the community from all walks of life, while at the same time, nurturing music and the arts, playing and dancing, reveling in the company of the beautiful connections we make along the way.
