From evergreen decorations and Yule logs to feasting and gift-giving, we’ll explore the pagan, folk and seasonal influences that have helped shape Christmas celebrations over time. Together, we’ll discover connections with winter solstice traditions and reflect on how these customs have evolved across cultures and generations.

We’ll also explore ways to bring personal meaning and an earth-honouring approach to the festive season, including how we might adapt winter-inspired traditions to our own Southern Hemisphere summer.

Then, we’ll make space for celebration! Share a plate, enjoy good company and reflect on the creativity, connections and discoveries of the year. Whether you’re a Roots and Rituals regular or joining us for the first time, you’re warmly welcome.
