Coming to Amity Point Community Club on Sunday 12 October is ROOTS REGGAE SUNDAY featuring Pacific Reggae Group TOKO supported by Solua and Andrea Kirwin. Doors open 3pm with music starting 4pm and tickets $40 entry with U18 free entry. This concert is hosted by Peace Run Records, we look forward to returning to Amity Point Community Club for this all ages family music event on the green. TOKO (Fiji/Rotuma/Samoa/Tonga/Aus)

Bringing together a diaspora of Pacific entertainers from Fiji, Rotuma, Samoa and Tonga, TOKO is a new and exciting Reggae Band that is fast becoming a favourite in their home region of the Sunshine Coast, QLD. TOKO is fronted by Rotuman/Fijian artist SKILLZ FJ, a dynamic performer and incredible vocalist who's passion and charisma has led to him being one of the most sought after soloists in SEQLD. Skillz has created this band bringing together a fantastic group of musicians that have already sold out 2 concerts with a 3rd sellout concert scheduled for July. TOKO is fast becoming a beloved local fixture for roots and reggae music lovers, with their vibrant, infectious energy and soulful rhythms that are captivating audiences from all walks of life. The band members are Skillz FJ (Samuela Taukave) on lead vocals, Guitar and Looper, Ravind Sangha on Saxophone and Flute, Robbie Ahmaz on drums, Aaron Giffin on electric guitar, Keikilani Tongamoa on bass and Eric Fatiaki on Keys.

SOLUA (Caribbean/Aus)

SOLUA is the essence of the sun (sol) and the moon (Lua)
gliding with ease to the flow of life, coming together as one.
SOLUA is an uplifting world music duo that merges styles of Afro-Brazilian and Caribbean Zouk, creating their own tropical blends across genres of jazz, funk, soul, classical, bossa nova, hip-hop and reggae. 

SOLUA creates a feel good loving vibe, filled with exotic Latino flavours ideal for those memorable nights out with friends. 
Like a warm hug their vibe can soothe and soften to open up audiences with their conscious lyrics that
leads up to a Brazilian/Caribbean carnival they ignite the dance floor into a party of worldly vibes full of dancing rhythms.
Making waves over the past 6 years while calling the beautiful Sunshine Coast home performing at many venues, events, bars, restaurants, cafes, private parties and weddings. 

The duo has also played a string of international shows receiving great acclaim in the French Caribbean and in New Zealand.  


Raised on the sultry Caribbean Island of Guadeloupe by Brazilian and French parents, front-woman Melissa Cambon pulls down inspiration from her ancestry and performs original songs that reflects her wonderfully vibrant heritage.
Adding the rhythm to the duo, Isaac Crowley from the rainforest of FNQ brings his exploration of Latin rhythms while on backing vocal and rapping his hard hitting hip hop bars. Solua look forward to bringing their brand of gorgeous roots/reggae/world music to Amity Point Community Club on 12 October!

ANDREA KIRWIN (Aus/Fiji)

Andrea Kirwin is the curator and opening act for the Roots Reggae Sunday bringing her beautiful music to start off the afternoon from 4pm. Andrea has been bringing per Peace Run Records events to North Stradbroke Island since 2023 and is very excited to present this awesome concert for families to enjoy. Having performed on the Folk Festival circuit in Australia and New Zealand for almost 20 years, Andrea's built her career on her songwriting, entertaining banter, soulful vocals and community spirit and she will be performing more of her reggae repertoire from her 5 albums at this special Sunday avo concert. Having grown up between Australia and Fiji, Andrea's continued to celebrate her Fijian roots through her music and has created her own unique blend that will be on show at the concert.
