13th September - Eastern Lounge Re-Launch!

A new home for Eastern Lounge launches in September! The Bally (Balgowlah Bowling Club) has brought us in from the cold and management are fully supportive of our mission to present great music, Live ‘n’ Local, every month.

Our re-launch on Friday September 13 will be nothing less than SPECTACULAR! A Double Headline bill of incredible quality, starring Blues/Rock/Roots sensation GENEVIEVE CHADWICK AND Chart-Topping Blues Rock supremos, THE SUNBEARS.

Genevieve Chadwick has been described as having the talent of John Butler, with the soul of Janis Joplin. She looks like an angel, roars like a lion and plays guitar like a demon. She has the power within her to bring an entire venue to a complete standstill, just to watch and listen to her perform. (I’ve seen that happen!)

A regular at Bluesfest Byron Bay, she's also won the People’s Choice Award at the Telstra Road to Discovery Finals in Tamworth. If you haven't seen her perform, please don't miss this opportunity. It will be a live music experience you’ll never forget!

This amazing night of live music will be co-headlined by a band that the President of the Sydney Blues Society, David Glover, described as "Like a Mentos mint shoved in a Coke bottle, ready to explode in all the right ways!"

The SunBears have not stopped wowing crowds and releasing award-winning music since thundering onto the Blues Rock scene in 2020. The band has released six singles, three of which reached No. 1 on the Australian National AMRAP charts! Renowned for their explosive Live performances, The SunBears have supported legend Suzi Quatro at The Enmore Theatre and played at some of Australia's most iconic venues and festivals.

The re-launch of Eastern Lounge promises to be one of the best nights of live music you've ever witnessed – quite simply, it will be an unforgettable experience.
