Hello to Our Lovely “In Praise of Pink” Attendees!

We are all looking forward to seeing you walk the rosé runway at our event this Sunday and enjoy a tasting of 24 delicious rosé wine styles and some yummy Má Là Dumplings. To make sure that you get the most out of the event, we are emailing you some important information below. Please read through this and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Please remember to either wear pink or floral on the day – this is the dress code for the event 😊

IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION

When you arrive at the Flametree Cellar Door at 2pm you’ll need to have your name checked off the door list and you’ll be given a wine glass (to use throughout the duration of the event, so hold onto it!) and a meal ticket for your dumplings.
There will be staff members from 16 different wineries located throughout the cellar door and out on the deck ready to pour their rosé/s for you. Please note that these will be 15-20ml tasting pours only. Some wineries will also have the option for you to purchase wine by the glass.
We advise that you eat lunch before coming to the event as this is best practice for the responsible service of alcohol. The serving of dumplings (included in your ticket price) is meant to complement the wines and not be a full meal replacement.
Please be patient when going to the Má Là Dumplings food truck to redeem your meal using your ticket. There will be around 140-150 people at the event and the Má Là team will do their best to serve dumplings as quickly as possible.
DJ Mandy B will be playing sublime tunes out on the grass and we ask that if the mood takes you, you dance on the lawn rather than on the deck.
No wine glasses are to be taken out on the lawn or into the car park or garden areas. All wine must be tasted and consumed either inside the cellar door, out on the deck or on the concrete area immediately below and surrounding the deck.
There will be an opportunity for you to strut your stuff on the pink carpet and prizes for best dressed man and woman. First prize is 1 bottle each of the 24 wines (2 dozen!!!!) being poured at the event, second prize is a mixed dozen of event wines and third prize is a mixed six pack of event wines. For each prize, there will be one male and one female winner.
We’ll also be having some crazy silly games on the lawn with more prizes to be won! For some of the games, names will be drawn out of a hat to participate and others you can volunteer to join in.
All wines being poured for tasting on the day will be available to purchase via mail order form from each participating winery. You will also be given the opportunity between 4-5pm to purchase a maximum of 2 bottles from each winery to take home with you. This allows you to make up a mixed 6-pack or dozen to enjoy at home another time. PLEASE NOTE: Under no circumstances are wines purchased for takeaway or won as a prize to be opened or consumed on the Flametree premises at any time during the event. Our special event liquor license prohibits this and we could be fined $10,000 if there are any breaches. If you are caught opening a bottle of wine that you have purchased for takeaway or won as part of a prize, you will be asked to leave immediately and any bottle/s received as prizes will be taken from you. We are putting on a fantastic and fun event for you and we hope that everyone shows their support and appreciation by complying with this.
The forecast looks pretty good at this stage (23⁰C and mostly sunny) but it might be worth bring something warm to throw on just in case.

Lastly, we still have spaces on return transport options from Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River. If there are insufficient bookings with any of the transport companies to justify the trip, they reserve the right to cancel and refund before the event (in this scenario, you will be notified).
