The evidence is clear; there is a direct relationship between staff wellbeing and patient wellbeing. It is well understood that disruptive or intimidating behaviours by staff undermine team effectiveness and compromise quality and safety.

Bron Shipway is a committed and experienced fundraising leader dedicated to transforming generosity into meaningful impact. Her career began in the field of speech pathology, where her work in both research and clinical practice taught her the art of truly listening and understanding people’s needs. This foundation has shaped her empathetic and relationship-focused approach to fundraising, enabling her to build deep, meaningful connections that drive impactful giving.

In her current role as Head of Donor Engagement at the Eastern Health Foundation, Bron leads a comprehensive fundraising program that fuels critical advancements in healthcare. With more than a decade of experience in the nonprofit healthcare and education sectors, she has successfully designed and executed strategies that have secured substantial gifts, built enduring donor relationships and partnership and launched community campaigns that inspire and mobilise support.

Renowned for her thoughtful and creative approach, Bron empowers donors to see themselves as essential partners in creating lasting, positive change. Her work continues to uplift communities and advance vital healthcare initiatives through the power of generosity.

The Hush Gathering of Kindness aims to build, nurture and instil a culture of kindness throughout the health care system transforming health and aged care cultures that prioritise kindness, respect and wellbeing for staff, patients, families and carers. For over two decades HUSH have hosted events, dialogues and commissioned and pioneered the use of creative tools including music, theatre for education, and literature designed to ignite kindness and reframe care in kindness week.

At this evening, hosted by Rotary Melbourne, we will acknowledge and express deep appreciation to the healthcare community for their selfless service; We are joining with the Hush Foundation's Gathering of Kindness Initiative to celebrate World Kindness on 13 November 2024.
