Rotary Melbourne annually pays tribute to dedicated community achievers and encourages others to follow their lead through the Sir John Reid Community Service Award.

This award is a permanent memorial to Sir John Reid, who served Rotary Melbourne for over 45 years, being its President in 1953-54. Since its inception in 1987, the Award has been given each year to honour an individual in the Victorian community whose volunteer service is judged to be worthy of special notice.
