Emma Germano is a farmer, former President of the Victorian Farmers Federation and recognised for her practical insight into food systems ,infrastructure, public policy and the economic challenges Australia’s future.

Also this week we have the presentation of the 2026 Cynthia Edgell Empowerment Gift

Following her death in May 2023, long-standing Rotary Melbourne member Cynthia Edgell generously made a significant bequest to the Club. Each year funds will be made available through the Cynthia Edgell Empowerment Gift to help women and girls from underprivileged backgrounds transform their lives.

At this week’s meeting we will make the presentation for 2026.

Cynthia was a much loved member and the club is proud to be able to honour her memory in this way.
