Recognising in February it's Rotary's Peace & Conflict Resolution month we feature Ciaran O'Toole from Conciliation Resources.

Ciaran is a member of Conciliation Resources Executive Management team, and heads up the Southeast Asia and the Pacific programme, covering our work in the Philippines, Papua New Guinea and across the Pacific region. He is based out of, and manages, the Australian branch office (Conciliation Resources Australia).

Ciaran commenced working for Conciliation Resources in Fiji in 2010, where his work included supporting the development of community and national level dialogue processes, and heading the organisation's efforts to support the 2012 Fiji Constitution development process. Since then he has led in the development of our current programme in the Pacific region, including at a country level in Papua New Guinea, and at a regional level focusing on comparative learning and climate change and conflict. Since 2018, Ciaran has also led Conciliation Resources work in the Philippines, further developing our programme in the Bangsamoro region. He is also a member of the International contact group for the Bangsamoro peace process.

Prior to joining Conciliation Resources, Ciaran was the Programme Manager for the Citizens' Constitutional Forum in Fiji. Up to this point, he worked in the private sector, in senior people and programme management positions in the Middle East and Australia. Ciaran holds a Masters in International Development from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.
