Sonia Vignjevic is a passionate advocate for community inclusion and one of Australia’s respected voices in multicultural affairs, migration, and settlement with over 25 years’ experience in the multicultural industry.

Sonia holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology & Human Movement, Graduate Diploma in International Law, Post Graduate Certificate in Trauma Counselling & Psychotherapy, Registered Migration Agent and former Victorian Multicultural Commissioner.

Sonia has been actively involved in a range of national & globally driven projects which have had significant impact. She is a strong advocate in the multicultural sector and often consulted by external stakeholders on issues affecting this sector and on policy and program development.  She drives service innovation to address identified needs and service gaps with the focus to enhance the wellbeing and integration of vulnerable people.   Sonia has extensive experience in advocating for supportive and inclusive national policies and a proven track record in developing and maintaining effective partnerships with key stakeholders including all tiers of Government, International institutions, academia and civil society.

Sonia brings a wealth of insight into the role of civic leadership, partnerships, and grassroots action in shaping a more inclusive and compassionate Australia.
