The annual Rotary Melbourne Vocational Panel aims to showcase the talents and diverse areas our members work in and to challenge us to consider opportunities in the year ahead.
This year’s Vocational Service Panel Discussion will look at the Rewards and Challenges of growing a business in Victoria. We have two wonderful Club members, Mamun Haque and Mimmie Watts, who will share their personal insights and experiences as business founders.
Mamun is a visionary business leader and managing director with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He is the Founder of Greenleaf Cosmetics Australia, a Melbourne based futuristic and sustainable manufacturing plant offering natural, high quality and affordable products to the local and international markets.
Mimmie is an Associate Professor at Federation University. She is a highly experienced public health expert and academic with a strong focus on curriculum development, health policy, migrant health, leadership, and international collaborations in higher education and business ventures. Mimmi is also the passionate Founder of La Guapa Outerwear, a Melbourne-based ethical fashion brand that uses vintage and deadstock fabrics to combat fast fashion.
Together Mamun and Mimmie will address key issues facing businesses trying to grow in challenging times. They will also highlight the personal rewards of being resilient and achieving goals. The discussion will cover opportunities for us as Australian consumers to help Australian businesses succeed.
Join us for lunch, be informed and form connections.
